Two Types of [Nerdy] Allure

Briefly (hah!..?), today’s Featured Article at Wikipedia is the Wonderbra. I must confess that I haven’t read the article, but I congratulate the team who pushed this article up to the level necessary to be featured on the front page. Reading the debate about whether to feature it may be entertaining enough.

And, from Microsoft’s Sandcastle blog comes word of a new web address:

Last year when we launched Sandcastle we had request from the community about providing a website for Sandcastle. We launched http://www.sandcastledocs.com/ and it provided a central place for downloads, blogs, links ..etc. However this website is not a part of Microsoft.com domain and also has a different branding from our Visual Studio (VS) products.

Last week I spoke to MSDN site manager Amar Shah about hosting a site at MSDN. Today Amar came back with a new site for Sandcastle at MSDN. Please see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/bb608422.aspx. We also have a permanent link in VS Dev Center at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa718343.aspx. Thanks Amar for setting this up.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate this. Dropping http://www.sandcastledocs.com in favor of http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/bb608422.aspx. Good call! I guess it’s better than http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/82DAFED82-997F-2749DAC3341DD69092.aspx.
