Woody Almost Wins

Woody At Chap’s suggestion I entered Woody into Kottke’s Celebrity Mii Contest, and got one of the runner-up spots! Hooray! Full results here.

I must agree: Dave Curry’s Zach Braff really is excellent in its artistry and interpretation, as is the Jack Black for its startling realism.

Judge Jen Bekman remarks of Woody: “Great, immediately recognizable, somewhat of an easy target though.” Easy target? Pah! I slaved for 5-10 minutes on that! Thanks to Chap for bringing the contest to my attention, and Jessica for her support and critique of my work.

I’d also like to take a moment to thank Jessica for one (of one) wonderful year of marriage together! Happy Anniversary to us! Tonight we shall eat cake! And maybe play some Wii too.

I think you were robbed! The Braff lacks subtlety and is a barely passable likeness. Just look at those lips! I’d say the only one that is a better likeness than Woody is the Jack Black - and then only if you look at the face… Jack Black is a whole lot fatter than that Mii.

I agree that Braff is not as good as some of the others.
Here’s a much clearer picture of the Jack Black.
