Corruption

Every now and then you introduce something you really enjoy to someone, hoping they’ll like it too. Oftentimes they don’t, because you tend to like allegedly “strange” stuff, but sometimes they do.

Yesterday Jessica had a temp job that required, shall we say, a minimum of work, and she was allowed to peruse the internet when she wasn’t busy. I half-jokingly suggested that she catch up the five years that she’s missed of my favorite comic strip, Achewood. And she did.

And now, here we are on Saturday morning. She says, “I wish I had my glasses on so I could read Achewood.” She’s in late 2003 at this point (it started on October 1, 2001), and reading it anyway. “Didn’t you say you needed to get your glasses,” I ask. She answers, “I’m leaning in so I don’t need them.”

Amazing. My wife really likes Achewood. She just started laughing (for the billionth time) saying, “These are getting really good!” This is where I’m supposed to invoke Rob Gordon and say, “I know.” But I’m too busy blogging our life in real time.

Update: As of 5pm Monday EST, she has gotten completely up to date.
