Thanks, Stadium Pal!
Whereas:
- Linking to YouTube is the thing to do these days,
- David Sedaris is unquestionably one of the finest essayists of our time,
- David Sedaris reading a classic essay on Letterman has appeared on YouTube,
I think it is only fitting that I link to the video, so that you may enjoy it too.
Also, amazingly my prayers have been answered (in under 2 weeks!): He’s coming to Atlanta on October 15! According to the ASO box office, tickets go onsale at the end of August, but you can donate $250 to WABE if you want to get tickets now. Jessica insists that we wait.
Me: But it’s tax deductible!
Jessica: NO!
We saw him at the Classic Center in Athens, back before we had even thought of dating, and it was probably the funniest performance I’ve ever had the pleasure to see. She enjoyed it too. Now we get to see him again! I’ll have to start formulating a, you know, really good question for the Q&A portion now…
Also: StadiumPal.com. Note the photograph for Paruresis, down on the right, which is not at all funny. (I actually wrote that before I read the caption: “Shy Bladder, Pee Shy, and Bashful Bladder are no laughing matter for some.” No doubt.)
