your blog is somewhat depressing… why so long without any entries?
Thanks for writing, Joel. I’ve actually been busy at work lately which has severely cramped my Blog Brainstorming time. Even now as I write this during my daily allocation of ten minutes’ personal time, I am feeling a strange tugging to get back to my work. I have even been feeling this tug at lunch, of all places.
Speaking of lunch, the patio at El Potro was beautiful today. Not bad for overlooking Buford Hwy.
Speaking of mexican food, we served chimichangas to the newly-returned former tenant (Mike Nessen of Nashville) at 1128 last night. This was our third attempt, and while we haven’t quite matched Roasters’ or Pancho’s chimichangas, the results last night were pretty darn good. Goodness is proving to have an inverse relationship with healthiness, however. But we knew that.
We topped the evening off with Jessica’s birthday carrot cake and a viewing of the results for this week’s American Idol. I mentioned my theory that this may be the last year with the judges as we know them. Paula’s phoning it in, Randy’s tired of it all, and Simon’s losing his focus. But then (I had to search for this), I find this, so maybe I’m wrong.
My ten minutes are almost up, so let’s finish things off with a few shout-outs: (do those still exist?)
- A belated public Happy Birthday! to Jessica, and thanks to all of the fine folks who turned out to help us celebrate,
- A slightly-less-belated public Happy Birthday! to Jeff, who received some booty on Sunday evening,
- Welcome back, Mike, it’s great to have you back in town,
- And last but not least, ’sup to Joel, who hopefully finds this entry decreases the depressingness of my blog.
