Look Mother, It’s Me!
Just on the heels of going as Brak’s Dad for Halloween, I find out that action figures of Brak’s Mom and Dad are available! The manufacturer has an okay site, but much better photos are available in a review of the entire series (which also includes Master Shake and Mothmonsterman! Check the “scenes” he’s put together at the end with Spiderman and Master Shake, plus the bathroom line).
I was pretty excited to see a while back that they had Brak and Zorak action figures (pictured in the above review), but this is just right over the top. Plus, you get their kitchen table the morning paper, and a charming family portrait (with Sisco)! Now if they’d just re-make Brak so he’s the right size for his parents…
Thanks to Vince for tipping me off that such a thing existed. I haven’t really wanted an action figure in fifteen years!

I figured you might like those!
I dunno, though — I kind of miss the old Brak. You know the one: unsophisticated, easy going, and unpressured by family. A simple guest on Space Ghost Coast to Coast, drunk and/or retarded.

You haven’t wanted an action figure in fifteen years? I beg to differ. I do remember you clamoring about the “Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Geordi LaForge disguised as Sherlock Holmes’ Dr. Watson” action figure, and I know we haven’t been friends for nowhere near fifteen years. Speaking of, I wonder if the “Reading Rainbow-era” LeVar Burton action figure is in the works for this year’s Christmas season. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!

Pardon my poor grammar. My proofreading is nowhere near where it shoulda be.

Vince: Unfortunately I’ve only seen the old Brak maybe once. I used to watch Space Ghost on Cartoon Network at Tech, hoping for a glimpse of Brak, but he only showed up in what looked like cameo spots. I’m told he was once much more prevalent. So for me, The Brak Show Brak is the Brak I know and love. What a buddy!
Mike N.: You are a scoundrel! How dare you embarrass me in front of my adoring public by bringing up LaForge and LeVar! Viva la France!

….by the way….. don’t you own this shirt?

You must be thinking of my blue jean jacket with that portrait of LeVar printed across the back. Actually, I’m surprised you’ve forgotten about my Reading Rainbow elastic headband.

I did forget about the headband, but I can’t think of anyone that would forget about yourMr. Goodbody “Anatomically Correct Unitard”. Splendid, I must say.

I’m pleased to report that I’ll be reprising that “do” for the wedding. No open flames, please.
