Now Available on Flickr!
Yes, friends, the moment you’ve all been waiting for has arrived: I have created an account on Flickr and uploaded some photos photos. I’ve been wanting a nice piece of gallery software to maintain my favorites; it looks like Flickr will do nicely. I haven’t really seen what all the fuss was about until now… and now I really get it. Somehow it all makes sense. I find myself wishing that all of my friends had accounts (Chap is the only one I’m aware of). Now if they’d just partner with a few photo printing outfits…

You know there’s a FlickrIdeas forum, you should check on there and suggest it (that is, if it hasn’t been rehashed a hundred times like many topics in that forum). The developers do actually read it. Of course, since they have been acquired by Yahoo, that functionality may be in the works (I’m not certian, but I think the Yahoo photos section has a print capability).

Hmm. I’ll have to read up on them, tonight, and might end up getting an account. First thing I like about them right off the bat is this line in their terms of services agreement:
“We claim no intellectual property rights over the material you provide to the Flickr service.”
Very nice.

Vince - There appear to be groups of folks on Flickr that actually meet up (in person!). Might be a good place to find somebody to join you for your dueling cameras concept. :)
