AWOL Aardvark

This post is really only of interest to anyone out there who owns an Aardvark audio recording product.

Glenn is looking to do some recording, so this weekend we pulled the Aardvark DirectPro 24/96 (4-input computer recording device — fancy sound card) out of mothballs and went to the Aardvark website to get drivers — almost. After two days of Connection Refused messages, I mentioned it to Morris, who found this forum post, which mentions that drivers and other information can be found at the Aardvark Support Group.

My thanks to “Sam” for putting the site up. It’s unfortunate that things have reached such an unstable state at Aardvark. If the company even exists anymore.

After reading your post, I acquired a fake name (Paul “theaardvark” Taylor), and attempted to download the very same drivers. I didn’t get ‘em either, but they did send me this. At least I got that going for me.

What a cheapskate. Adopted “the Aardvark” for one measly year? I’m sure “the Aardvark” is feeling pretty secure this year… until next year rolls around and its got to find a new foster parent. GOSH.

Not sure if you are still out there - I only just found your post. I have a Q10 and I recently tried to go to the Aardvark website to see if there were any new driver updates. Screwed again. By the way - I tried the forum post link for drivers and it doesn’t seem to work. Any reason?
