Pink Cadillac
This post doesn’t have much to do with cars or songs or movies. Actually, it’s just here to commemorate a new layout here at 1128. After a weekend of slaving over a hot CSS sheet and WordPress template pages… well, this is what we’ve got. I can only hope it will make keeping up-to-date with my Steve Jobs brainwashing progress that much more pleasant for everybody.
In other news, I was walking through Best Buy, up to no good, when I came across something that made my day: The Brak Show: Vol 1! I had it in hand to buy and then remembered my Amazon Visa (triple points on Amazon purchases), “free” 2nd day shipping, and no sales tax. I put it back and decided I could wait. Turns out it’s $4 cheaper at Amazon, too.
I wandered Best Buy for a few more minutes - I’ve been daydreaming about a new stereo (er, surround sound system) for the house, but Best Buy didn’t make my decision-making process any easier. Also, they have some FREAKING HUGE televisions there, including one that cost about $13,000, had a recommended viewing distance of about 5,280 feet, and looked like absolute shite. Unsurprising, as that’s what you get when you run standard definition content into it. Not even the Monster Cable composite RCA cable can overcome that limitation. Remarkable.
