The Sound of Settling

Last night I dreamt that I was at some small conference where Steve Jobs was giving a talk. I was standing around in the lobby for some reason when he was leaving, and followed him out, gushing about how great I think Apple’s recent products are. He seemed flattered but not particularly bothered, walking along with me for a few minutes and soaking up my (undoubtedly illuminating) comments.

I’d bet some of the Linux nuts have had similar dreams involving Linus (except it took place at a banquet where there were no spoons or knives, just forks. Forks everywhere…), and probably for the same reason I had mine.

How many of you PC users out there have dreamt of telling Bill Gates how great Windows is? (Steve Ballmer counts too) Or Michael Dell how great you think the Inspiron laptop line is?

I’ve had a Dell dream but it was less about the gushing to Michael Dell and more about learning Punjabi so I could more readily converse with Sanjay, my friendly Technical Support Representative.

I’ve dreamt of chasing Catherine Zeta Jones to tell her how wonderful T-mobile is–errr somthing. Does that count?

There are about a million other things you should be dreaming about. More fiber in your diet and a better exercise routine will help clear up these bad dreams.

I dreamt I was a goat sharing an giant bowl of Jello pudding with Bill Cosby and Lemmy from Motorhead. I was flattered to be in such fine company. Come to think of it, that was a little weird… they didn’t seem to mind eating out of the same bowl as a goat either.

did I say “an giant”? Also strange, i might add…..
