Retro Comment Verification
A while back I posted about comment spammers and a comment verification hack for WordPress, ImageAuth. Now Chap has developed a really cool alternate solution.
I’m highly tempted to implement it here, but at the same time my brain is ticking, thinking of variations on the theme. The problem with ImageAuth is that it would take some work to make it look like it belongs on a site. Chap’s solution, call it “AsciiAuth,” has great nerd appeal. What about the blogger that wants the most tasteful comment verifier possible, though? To whom does he turn?
