Pilot Portrait
I’ve had this portrait open in one of my browser tabs all day today. The light on the subject is just incredible: the colors are soft, and I love the silver frame of the door shining beside him.
It was shot by Philip Greenspun, who by the way wrote a pretty interesting account of his checkride in a Robinson R22 helicopter.

DAAAAAY-UMMMM!! Is that watch a Casio? Put that on my Christmas list, please. That’s gotta be my favorite part of the portrait.
