99 ¢/100

(I’m fairly sure they are not a variation on the pink flamingo theme, but are in fact in celebration of Christmas) Joe joined me for dinner at the local Fronterra, where we discussed Christmas decorations:
Joe: You need to redneck it up. Bigtime. You can get a hundred lights for 99¢. Me: Well, I thought last year looked nice. I was proud of - Joe: It looked like old people live there.
Today I cracked open a Santa-emblazoned Coke and put up the wreaths from last year (pictured darkly, above). No lights yet, though - there’s plenty of time before Christmas to “redneck it up.” Bigtime.

It was windy when we were backing out of the slip, and I efficiently slid the boat alongside the end of the dock and a neighboring boat. Nice, self. Aside from that it was a great day out on the lake. The temperature was around 50 but the sun was out and the wind was between 5-15kts, giving us a good mix of time to relax and time to push our feet against the inside of the cockpit as the mast tried to reach over and touch the water. That said, and with previous stories in mind, the Catalina 250 turns out to be a pretty sturdy boat, and we were able to get pretty comfortable at a 45 degree heel. Giddyup!
